Updated: Apr 7, 2020

The monthly Weston Forest and Trail Association walk will be on Sunday, January 4, 2015. The walk will begin at 2:00 PM as usual and will last about an hour-and-a-half. We will meet in the Gun Club Lane parking lot. Tail-gate refreshments will follow the walk (possibly XC ski if conditions permit).

We will explore the Fiske and Jericho Town Forests. Park at the end of Gun Club lane, accessed at the end of Warren Avenue, as shown on this map:

A map and more details about the area can be found on Chapter 15 and Chapter 16 in the book Walks on Weston Conservation Land by Elmer Jones, available from the Association for $5.00. (Edited to show reduced price.) You can read excerpts from Chapter 15 here. This book and a brand new 2013 trail map can be purchased at the Conservation Commission office in the Town Hall.

You do not have to be a member of the Weston Forest and Trail Association to join the walk but if you are not, please consider becoming a member. Your membership supports the maintenance and preservation of Weston’s open space. Please bring your friends. Well behaved children and dogs are welcome but must be on leash.

Brian Donahue, founder of Land's Sake and fount of knowledge about Weston forests and open space, will be joining Linda Duhms to lead the walk. For more information please contact the walk leader, Linda Duhms, (EDIT: contact info removed after walk).
