January 2, 2022: Jericho Town Forest, French's Field, new Cherry Brook Bridge

French's Field with frost in low sun.

Come celebrate 2022 by getting outside and joining Weston Forest & Trail on Sunday, January 2nd at 2 PM. We will explore Jericho Town Forest, French's Field and the new Cherry Brook Bridge, nicknamed the Beaver Bridge, because of, you guessed it, beaver activity! A loop including the field and bridge will be our ultimate goal, but those interested in a shorter walk can join just for the first 1.5 mile loop. The add-on of the beaver bridge will be a bonus choice for the more intrepid. The trail also traces part of the Bay Circuit Trail in Weston. In case of snow, this trek can be snow-shoed or cross-country skied so please consult our home page for any last minute changes or developments. Meet at the Burchard Park tennis courts at 269 Concord Road.

The walk should last one and a half to two hours. All ages are welcome, as are well behaved dogs on leash. Walkers need not be Weston Forest and Trail Association members, but we encourage you to consider joining as dues support the maintenance of Weston's trails and open spaces. WFTA has been hosting Sunday Walks for over 60 years. You can become a member through our membership page. We look forward to seeing you out on the trails!
