Join us on Sunday, March 5 at 2PM for a challenging 3 mile hike through two conservation properties linked by connector trails. We'll start out in College Pond's conservation area, bought by the town in 1977, and pass over an Eagle Scout boardwalk on our way to Concord Road and Ogilvie Town Forest. Graced with narrow trails, the quiet side of Ogilvie beckons with vernal pools and white pine nurseries. We'll cross a couple of other wetland areas on our way back to College Pond. This walk will take place in rain, shine or snow, so spikes or yaktrax or snowshoes may be preferred. Mush and mud will be expected, and walking sticks may be warranted. Park at Burchard Park near the tennis courts.
All ages are welcome! Walkers need not be Weston Forest and Trail Association members, but we encourage you to consider joining us, as dues support the maintenance of Weston’s trails and open spaces. WFTA has been hosting Sunday walks for over sixty years. You may also consult our home page for any last minute updates on the walk. We look forward to seeing you.
